In 1917, workers club were seen as the crucial apparatus of large factories to control workers’ everyday life and thus reinforced the exsiting structure of Communism.
100 years later, the information age has led to a peer-to-peer based freelance economy via online market places, and the boundary of the factory should be dissolved.
The future workers club is a community for individuals who share the same spirits to meet, to make things and have conversation with the public. It is consisted of 2 parts: Making spaces and intellectural infrastructure. As flooding comes and water level rises, the building’s porosity and publicity will increase.
